They are very technique oriented, covering breathing, focus, resonance, lower abdominal strength, fluidity, vocal flexibility, and a timing of the whole so that the amount of work that actually goes into singing remains our little secret.
The Christopher Cabaret Workshop has been given in New York City continuously for the past 20 years. A group of singers meet for a weekly, three-hour class for a semester, preparing material, which is presented or showcased in a community-service-based venue, such as nursing homes or retirement centers. Also once a month each person has a private voice lesson. This all culminates in a public performance at one of the local clubs.
