| Quick Resume: My basic philosophy in teaching music lessons is: keep it fun! I can show you how to figure out how to play your favorite songs or give you the theory and exercises needed to bring your playing up a notch. You'll learn proper technique, practical theory, improvisation, and apply these skills to as you learn repertoire of jazz, blues, R&B and rock music. If you're ready we can also work on composition, musicianship, and advanced theory. If you just want to learn songs, that's fine too. All you need is your instrument and a favorite song or two.
Most importantly, I teach according to your needs and goals as a musician. I don't force a program or curriculum -- I will help you become the musician YOU want to be. Each week we will expand your technique and knowledge while honing in on the sound and style you want. |
