| Quick Resume: Biography
David Phillips is a concert pianist who regularly performs and teaches in New York City. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and New York City's Juilliard School.
Mr. Phillips recently traveled to Yerevan, Armenia on a tour sponsored by the U.S. State Department where he made a debut appearance with the Armenian Philharmonic performing The Grieg Piano Concerto. He also gave a solo recital where he performed J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations at Komitas Chamber Music Hall and taught Master classes at the Sayat Nova Music Academy.
Recent appearances also include performances with The Dubrovnik Symphony, The London Philharmonic, The San Antonio Symphony, The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and The St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
In February 2006 he performed a solo recital in the Trinity Concert Series in New York City. In May 2006 Mr. Phillips traveled to Croatia, as a guest of the United States Department of State, where he was a soloist with the Dubrovnik Symphony and performed a solo recital and led master classes in Zagreb, Croatia. On October 3, Mr. Phillips gave a New York City recital on the Donnell Library Concert Series. On December 4 he was a soloist with the Key West Pops Orchestra in Key West, Florida under Vincent Zito, performing Gershwin's Concerto in F. He performed a solo recital on the Old First Concert Series in San Francisco on April 28, 2006.
Mr. Phillips will perform a debut recital at New York’s Carnegie-Weil Rectal Hall on February 20th 2007. Phillips will do a concert in San Francisco on “Old First Concerts” series and reappear at St. Paul’s Chapel New York City on the series: Concerts at 1 pm. Next, Phillips will do a solo recital in New York City on June 11, 2007 at the Donnell Library. The summer will take Mr. Phillips to Spain, Greece, Italy, Germany and France to do festivals and solo recitals.
