Quick Resume: Has taught recorder 16 years. Is a registered Suzuki recorder teacher, a charter member of the American Recorder Teachers Association (ARTA), and has served on the national Board of Directors and the Educational Committee for the American Recorder Society (ARS). Teach at my studio, The Academie of Musick, at Armstrong Community Music School, in homes and at early music workshops. Has been a faculty member of the Bastrop Academy of Music, and the Texas Early Music Festival (Texas TOOT). I began studying piano at age 4 and continued to college. I studied flute from 5th grade through undergraduate school, and took voice training in high school and college. My undergraduate and masters degrees and postgraduate studies are in the Communication Arts. I have completed the requirements for a minor in music at Texas State University.I have managed and performed with professional and educational ensembles and orchestras in Texas for 23 years. I currently direct and perform with Passing Measures (Renaissance/Medieval) and Passing Fancies (Baroque), and Timely Treasures (recorder/harp duo) and has performed as a guest artist with Istanpitta, the University of Texas Early Music Ensemble. I have participated in various early music festivals and Renaissance faires around the country and in numerous workshops. Master classes and private lesson instructors include Eva Legêne, Marion Verbruggen, Aldo Abreu, the members of the Flanders Quartet, Paul Leenhouts, Saskia Coolen, Evalyn Nalen, Michael Lynn, Frances Blaker, Gwyn Roberts, Wolfgang Dey, Dell Hollingsworth, and Paul Raffeld.
