Quick Resume: Teachers 2 Go is a teaching company in Houston that is entirely music teacher owned. We send professional musicians to teach students of all ages and levels in the comfort of their own homes. Teachers 2 Go has 5 full-time piano and guitar instructors on staff, as well as many other instruments. Lessons are weekly and billed monthly at the beginning of each month. Performance opportunities are also offered at the student's option. Teachers 2 Go has been teaching students of all levels and ages in Houston since 2005.
Owner David Brake has been a professional musician/pianist/guitarist and teacher for 20 years. Prior qualifications include majoring in music at the University of Michigan, piano studies with Professor Phil DeGreg (Cincinnati Conservatory of Music), and voice with Dr. Sharon Radionoff at the Sound Singing Institute in Houston, TX. His professional experience includes touring throughout the world with many groups of many different genres (The Heat and the Cold Sweat Horns/R&B/East Coast, The Classics/Variety/Las Vegas, Boyd Chisum/Country/SW, The Move/Jazz/Midwest, to name a few) in addition to playing clubs and formal events in duo and solo formats. David has entertained at state fairs, casinos, resorts, cruise ships, sporting events (including Rockets half-time), hotels, and piano bars across the country. In 2004, he was nominated for Best New Artist in The Houston Press. David was also the headlining performer at the Ivory Cat Tavern in Austin on 6th street, and is currently the director of the Afterschool Rock program at Rainard School for the Gifted, keyboard instructor for National Guitar Workshop's Day Jams program, and piano and guitar instructor to over 40 students of all ages both in his private studio and homes throughout the Houston area. David works through his company Teachers 2 Go along with other professional musicians on staff to bring teachers to the student in the comfort of their own homes.
